FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are your pearls real pearls?
It depends on the design. Some pieces feature freshwater pearls, formed naturally, others resin or synthetic pearls, or natural stone beads (apatite, white agate, amazonite). The exact material is stated on each product page.
Can I swim with pearl jewellery?
Gold-tone stainless steel is water-resistant, but pearls are more delicate, especially freshwater pearls. Take the piece off for the pool, the sea or the shower, and avoid perfume and sunscreen directly on the pearls.
How do I care for freshwater pearls?
Wipe them with a soft cloth after wearing, without any product. Store them separately to avoid scratches, and apply perfume or hairspray before the jewellery, never after.
Which length should I choose for a pearl necklace?
Most of our pearl necklaces measure between 36 and 42 cm, with a 5 to 12 cm extender chain. Between 36 and 40 cm, the necklace sits close to the neck; longer, it falls towards the neckline. Our guide which necklace length to choose covers each case.
Is pearl jewellery suitable for a wedding?
Yes, it is a ceremony classic: a fine necklace with a pearl, a pearl choker or a matching bracelet. It suits a white dress as well as a guest outfit. See also our wedding jewellery.
