To give your sister a piece of jewelry, go for a shared set: two matching pieces, one for her and one for you, rather than two identical ones. Choose according to her style (discreet, sparkly or symbolic), not yours. No need to know her measurements: almost all our rings are adjustable and our necklaces and bracelets have an adjustable chain.
One piece each, without being identical
Between sisters, matching jewellery has a special charm. But wearing exactly the same piece can quickly start to look like a uniform. The trick is to share a set: two pieces designed to go together, one for her, one for you.
The PAULA necklace and the PAULETTE bracelet make a pair: the same ex-voto hearts, the same spirit, one worn at the neck, the other on the wrist. You can give the necklace and keep the bracelet, or the other way round. The FLORA gift set follows the same idea with a 3 cm double flower necklace and the matching earrings, for 39 € for both pieces instead of 47 € bought separately.
Many of our designs come in several pieces sharing the same name. On each product page, the matching pieces are suggested. To see how your piece will look before you order, try it on virtually with your own photo.
Start from her style, not yours
The classic trap is giving what you would like to wear yourself. Even between sisters, tastes can be very different. In our “Find my jewellery” quiz, we ask every participant to describe her style: almost one in two calls herself rather understated, while the others are split between jewellery that sparkles and jewellery with meaning. Three profiles, three ways to choose.
If she is understated, go for a fine piece she will wear every day without a second thought. The EMILIANA necklace is a very fine Y-necklace adorned with beads, and the ANGELICA ring carries a simple oval of mother-of-pearl.
If she loves things that sparkle, the AMAYA ring brings together little soldered flowers and rhinestones, and the GAELLE necklace offers a double strand set with zircons, already layered (38 and 42 cm).
If she loves jewellery that tells a story, the HELENA necklace lines up a sun, beads and a heart, and the CAPUCINE ring traces a cherry blossom. Our article on the meaning of symbols will help you find the motif that speaks to her.
Depending on the occasion
Her birthday. An everyday piece often brings more joy than a spectacular one that only comes out once a year. You will find more ideas in our guide what jewellery to give for a birthday.
Her wedding. If you are her maid of honour, give her a piece she can wear on the big day or keep as a memento. Pearls go with almost any dress: the CEREMONIE gift set brings together a freshwater pearl choker and a Y-necklace, for 49 € instead of 58 €. For your own outfit, see our guide to jewellery to wear as a wedding guest.
A new baby. She is becoming a mum and you are becoming an aunt: a pendant or a charm bracelet marks the moment without overdoing it. Take a look at our pendant necklaces and our charm bracelets.
Christmas. All our ideas by budget are gathered in our Christmas gift guide. For delivery in France before the holidays, order before 18 December. You can also browse our selection of Christmas gifts directly.
No need to know her measurements
Almost all our rings are adjustable, usually from French size 52 to 62, and each product page states the exact range. Our necklaces and bracelets have an adjustable chain. If you still want to check, discreetly borrow one of her rings and follow our method to measure a ring size without a ring sizer. Between sisters, nobody will notice the borrowing.
Frequently asked questions
What matching jewellery should I give my sister?
Choose two pieces from the same set rather than two identical pieces: a necklace for her, a bracelet or earrings for you. The PAULA necklace and the PAULETTE bracelet, or the FLORA gift set, are made for exactly that.
How much should I spend?
Allow between 18 and 35 € for a ring, a bracelet or a necklace, and between 39 and 49 € for the gift sets mentioned in this article.
What if I don't know her ring size?
Choose an adjustable ring: almost all of ours are, and the product page states the sizes covered. Our size guide also gives pointers for necklaces and bracelets.
What if she doesn't like it?
You have 30 days to return the jewellery to us, and until 14 January for orders placed from 1 December. If you really cannot decide, the gift card, from 20 to 150 €, leaves the choice to her.
